Tigers to Face Samford for Non-Conference Double Header
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee State will step out of Ohio Valley play for their final non-conference games of the season. TSU will welcome former OVC member Samford to Tiger Field for the first time since 2008. The two teams will play a double header beginning at 4:00pm on Wednesday afternoon.

The Tigers were a part of a pair of sweeps on the weekend and is now 16-25, 4-9 in the OVC play. TSU was swept at UT Martin (6-5, 3-4) with game two taking 11 innings to determine a winner. TSU collected their own sweep with wins at Southeast Missouri (3-1, 4-3).
Rebekka Gross hit the first two home runs of her career in game two versus SEMO, driving in all four runs. Shea Morris earned the win in the same game and became the winningest pitcher in TSU history. Morris finished the weekend with nine strikeouts and is one shy of 500, which would make her the first Tiger to reach the milestone.
