Eaton made one start with three relief apperances last week picking up three wins. She posted a 2.00 era with 15 strikeouts in 15 innings pitched at the Sixth-Annual Georgia Softball Classic.
In the Tigers 6-3 win over UNC Greensboro, Eaton stepped in relief the last two innings giving up four hits and one run while strinking out four.
She then grabbed the start in the 4-3 win over Ball State. In five innings pitched, she gave up three earned runs on six hits struck out two batters before being relieved in the sixth inning.
In their final game versus Marshall, Eaton in relief, stepped to the mound in the seventh inning to preserve the tie to force extra innings. In the eighth, Eaton surrendered one run under the tie breaker rule with a runner starting on second and one hit before posting two strikeouts to garner the 9-8 victory.
The Baltic, Conn. native also hit .438 with 10 hits, including a double and two home runs leading the Tigers to a 4-1 record and second place finish at the Classic.
On the season, Eaton is 4-0 on the mound with five appearances and two starts. She has a team-high 22 strikeouts in 19 innings pitched. Offensively, she is batting .478 average (11-of-23) with a team-leading four home runs and six RBI's.
