Softball Picked to Finish Eighth

Nashville --- The Tennessee State University softball team was picked to finish eighth in the 2009 Ohio Valley Conference race.

 

Reigning OVC champion Jacksonville State was predicted to repeat as OVC champs while Tennessee Tech was picked to finish second.

 

Last season, Tennessee State tallied an 8-19 OVC record, good for a ninth place finish in the league. The Tigers returned 10 players from last season and added six newcomers to the squad.


TSU will officially kick off the 2009 season at Alabama A&M on Saturday, Feb.14.
