Nashville, Tenn. - The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) has announced the Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division I All-Region teams selecting Tennessee State University's Caitlin Eaton (Utility Player/Pitcher) to the All-Central Team.

The NFCA honors student-athletes from 10 NFCA regions with a total of 264 players from 121 different institutions comprising the regional teams.

Eaton was selcted to the Ohio Valley Conference First Team at the end of the season and was an offensive force for TSU. She led the Tigers in hits (47), homeruns (13), RBIs (30), batting average (.370), on base percentage (.497), walks, slugging percentage (.764) and total bases.

The Baltic, Conn. native, was second in the OVC in homeruns and had the highest on base percentage. She ranks in the top ten in total bases (4th) and batting average (3rd).

As a pitcher, she finished the season leading the Tigers in strikeouts (130), ranking fourth in the OVC, while holding a 3.25 ERA.

Earlier this season, Eaton pitched a no-hitter against IUPUI (Indiana University-Purdue University-Indianapolis) at the 6th Annual Georgia Softball Classic and was named OVC Pitcher of the Week (2/23). She was also named OVC Player of the Week (3/16).

The all-region teams were chosen by NFCA member coaches from each region, and all the honorees will now be eligible for selection to the Louisville Slugger/NFCA All-America first, second or third teams. In addition, conference pitchers and players of the year not selected to the regional teams were added for All-America consideration.

The NFCA Division I All-American teams will be announced at 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 27.
