Softball Looks to Get Back on Track against Lipscomb

Nashville --- The Tennessee State University softball team will return to action this Tuesday, April 14, with a doubleheader at non-conference opponent Lipscomb University.


The Tigers (16-21) have lost four straight and will look to get back on track against the Bisons (27-8). This season the Tigers are 8-9 on the road.


TSU is coming off of a three-game series against Morehead State, in which the Tigers dropped all three contests. Lipscomb has won six of its last seven, winning five straight.


Last year, TSU dropped both games of the doubleheader to Lipscomb, 4-3 and 2-0, at Tiger Field.


As a team, Tennessee State is hitting .254 and has a team ERA of 3.88. Caitlin Eaton is hitting .414 for the Tigers and has a team high 11 homeruns.


Game one of the doubleheader will kick off at 2 p.m. at Draper Diamond.
