Hildebrand improved to 4-5 with the complete game victory. Lewis falls to 3-9. In the first game in a pitching duel between Samford's Stephanie Royall and TSU's Stephnaie Kemme, a lead off home run in the second inning proved to be the decisive run. Kemme would allow a second inning to Jeslyn Metcalf had a one out single in the second inning and only had one base runner the rest of the way that came on an error in the fourth inning. TSU had two runners on in the seventh inning with one out, but could push the scoring run across the plate against Royall who improved her record to 7-8 on the season.
