TSU SOFTBALL USES LONG BALL TOLEAD WAY FOR TWINBILL SWEEP
LEBANON, Tenn. --- Leena Worrell hit a grand slam in the first game and Hollie Sanders' three-run homer in the nightcap helped lead the way to the Tennessee State softball team's 5-4 and 6-3 doubleheader sweep of host Cumberland University on Wednesday. In the opener, Worrell's blast over the left field fence gave TSU a 4-0 lead in the third inning and TSU held on for the one-run victory. In the second game, Sanders' three-run homer keyed a five-run sixth as TSU erased a 1-0 deficit. Sanders was 2-for-3 with the three RBI.
