CHARLESTON, Ill. --- Tennessee State dropped the rubber game of a three-game Ohio Valley Conference series Sunday afternoon as host Eastern Illinois broke a scoreless tie with three runs in the fourth inning and went on to hand the Tigers an 8-0 defeat Sunday afternoon. TSU managed just one hit, a single by Hollie Sanders that led off the second inning. EIU's Heather Hoeschen went the distance in the sixth inning victory. Kristina Blair had the shutout for TSU until a bases loaded double by Jenny Cerevetto in the fourth. EIU added homers in both the fifth and sixth innings. The Tigers had opened the series with a 7-3 victory on Saturday before EIU took the second game 7-2. TSU will play a non-conference doubleheader at Cumberland University on Wednesday at 2 p.m.
