TSU COACH, PLAYER TO PARTICIPATEIN NCAA "YES" PROGRAM AT SOFTBALL WORLD SERIES
NASHVILLE --- Tennessee State University head softball coach Joyce Maudie and rising senior second baseman Heather Ebersole have received invitations to participate in a youth education program held in conjunction with the 2005 NCAA Softball World Series which begins later this week. The National Youth Sports Corporation (NYSC) staff organizes and conducts Youth Education through Sports (YES) Clinics, which are offered at various NCAA championship sites. Maudie and Ebersole will each travel to Oklahoma City, Okla., the site of the championships. Maudie will serve as an instructor while Ebersole will serve as a student-athlete representative at the clinics. "This is a great opportunity for both of us to be involved in an outstanding event and great representation for Tennessee State University," said Maudie. The NYSC conducts thorough evaluations of educational services used in youth programs to ensure that each NYSP site is sufficiently working toward accomplishing federal guidelines.
