HENRY COUNTY STAR SIGNSWITH TIGER SOFTBALL PROGRAM
NASHVILLE --- Nitisha McWherter, an all-round player from Henry County High School in Paris, Tenn., has become the latest addition to the Tennessee State softball program. McWherter pitched, and also played in the infield and outfield for the Lady Patriots and her summer team, the Tennessee Stealers. She was a four-year letter winner in both softball and basketball at Henry County High. ?Nitisha is a tremendous addition to the TSU family,? said Tiger head coach Joyce Maudie. ?Nitisha has had an impressive career competing in basketball and softball and we are thrilled that he has committed to extend her softball career and pursue her education at TSU." McWherter was an All-District 10-AAA performer four consecutive years, She was named Henry County's MVP and was named to the Jackson Central-Merry All-Tournament team. She was also an All-District 10-AAA player in basketball. One of the highlights of her senior season came when she tossed a perfect game. She recorded 16 strikeouts in the contest.
