SOFTBALL SHUTOUT, 3-0, BY SOUTHEAST MISSOURI STATE

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. --- The Tennessee State softball team was unable to rebound from its doubleheader loss and fell on Sunday to Southeast Missouri State. The Otahkians defeated the Tigers, 3-0. Southeast Missouri State had its break out inning early in the game, scoring all three of its runs in the bottom of the second inning. The Tigers recorded five hits on the day and the senior Alana Thomas and sophomore Justine Jontz inside the circle combined for two strikeouts. Tennessee State returns to action on Tuesday as it travels across town to take on Belmont. Game time is set for 2 p.m.
