NASHVILLE --- The Tennessee State softball program has signed Casey Probus, an all-around player from the New Jersey high schools ranks, Tiger head coach Joyce Maudie has announced. Probus was a four-year letter winner in softball, basketball, and soccer at Rahway High School. She is also a standout for her Junior Olympic Summer softball team, the Infernos. ?Casey is capable of playing any position with the exception of pitcher,? said Maudie. ?We are very excited about her joining the TSU family. Casey's athletic talent, as well as her solid academic background and extensive involvement in community service, make her a welcome addition to the Tiger softball program.? Probus was Rahway's MVP in softball and basketball and earned the school's Most Athletic Female recognition. She received the Best Offensive Player for the Senior Stars Softball Showcase. Other honors included being named All-New Jersey in soccer and to the All-Area basketball team. She helped lead Rahway to the New Jersey state basketball championship her senior season. Probus joins Laura Freeman from Nashville's Cedrarcreek Schoolhouse Academy as the players who have returned their letters-of-intent for next season. Freeman signed with the Tigers during the fall signing period. ###
