SOFTBALL TIGERS ONE-HIT IN FINAL GAME AT MSU
MOREHEAD, Ky. --- Tennessee State was held to one-hit and suffered its second straight shutout as Morehead State completed a three-game sweep of the Lady Tigers with an 8-0 win Sunday afternoon. TSU, had entered the three-game set with at least one win in its previous three Ohio Valley Conference series, but scored just two runs in the three games. Both scores came in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader. Junior Kristy Kittell had TSU's lone hit and was the only base runner allowed by Morehead State pitcher Jacque Jackson. The score was 2-0 until MSU put six runs on the board. TSU committed four errors in the game. TSU (6-22, 3-8) will host Middle Tennessee Wednesday at 4 p.m. for a doubleheader and Eastern Illinois next weekend in a three-game series.
