Tyler Sadler joined the Tennessee State staff in October of 2017. He will handle the hitting and defensive duties, and will serve as recruiting coordinator.
Sadler comes to TSU after serving as the head coach at Ezell-Harding Christian School in Nashville. Ezell-Harding won two sub-state titles and made it to the final four of the State Tournament on two occasions. Seven players went on to play collegiate ball under the tutelage of Sadler.
Prior to Ezell-Harding, Sadler was an assistant baseball coach and strength coach at Nashville Christian School from 2012-2014. Sadler also coached travel ball with a pair of organizations in the middle Tennessee area, including spending two years with Team Synergy where he worked with eight athletes who would play at the collegiate level.
Sadler graduated from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville with a Bachelor of Science in Education with an emphasis in Sport Management with a minor in Business. Sadler worked with the nationally ranked Lady Vols softball team from 2007-10, while at UT. The Lady Vols earned two Women’s College World Series appearances and an SEC championship during Sadler’s time. He worked with eight All-Americans, managed, assisted in director of operation duties, scouting, assisted in coaching outfielders and slappers at UT.
Sadler is married to the former Sarah Taylor. The couple has one child, Declan.
