Xavier Molette joined the Tennessee State University track and field coaching staff as a graduate assistant prior to the 2016-17 season.
A native of Conyers, Ga., Molette was a standout thrower at South Carolina State, setting the program record in the discus (51.27m). He was a five-time all-MEAC honoree, earning the accolades three times for the discus and twice for the weight throw. Molette was also named Male Student Athlete of the Year twice during his time at South Carolina State.
He has coached club track for six years with Impact Athletics for the field events, having helped over 25 athletes qualify for AAU/USATF Junior Olympics. Molette owns a USATF Level 2 Certification for the jumping events.
Molette graduated Cum Laude from South Carolina State in 2014 with a Bachelor’s degree in business management.
In addition to his coaching duties, Molette will work toward his MBA with a concentration in Management Information Systems.
