Director of Basketball Operations
The 2017-18 season will mark the fourth for Janna Eichelberger as the Tennessee State men’s basketball Director of Operations. Eichelberger, whose duties include coordinating travel arrangements, exchanging video and other day-to-day duties, joined Head Coach Dana Ford’s staff in the summer of 2014.
Eichelberger has been part of the staff that has raised TSU to one of the top programs in the Ohio Valley Conference. Over the last two seasons, Tennessee State has gone 37-24 including a 20-11 record in 2015-16 – reaching 20 wins for the third time at the Division I level.
Prior to working with the men's basketball program, she was a graduate assistant for the Tennessee State University women's basketball program for two years (2012-14).
Eichelberger arrived in Nashville after graduating from IUPUI with a bachelor's of science in Kinesiology in 2012.
As a student-athlete, Eichelberger was a member of the IUPUI women's basketball team for four years. During her sophomore and senior years, she served as the team captain. She received Academic All-Summit League accolades four consecutive years and earned a spot on the Summit League Academic Distinguished Scholar's list in 2012. She was also named to the Summit League Commissioner's List for Academic Excellence.
In 2012, she participated in the Final Four's "So You Wanna Be a Coach" program.
A native of West Columbia, S.C., Eichelberger earned a master's degree in the department of Human Performance and Sports Science from Tennessee State University in 2014.
