NASHVILLE --- Tennessee State University student-athletes, coaches and administrators joined forces with university personnel and other volunteers to help with Freshmen Move-In Day on Wednesday.
The football team got the ball rolling and arrived to campus at 5:30 a.m.
The Tigers assisted with traffic control, unloading cars, loading carts and carrying items to the dorm rooms at Wilson Hall.
As the football team’s three-hour volunteer time frame was coming to an end, more student-athletes arrived on the scene to provide assistance.
Members of the track and field team arrived at 8:30 a.m. while men’s basketball, tennis and softball came out at 9 a.m.
Men’s golf and women’s basketball started out at Rudolph Hall before relocating to Wilson Hall to continue with move-in efforts.
Coaches and administrators also served as drivers and organizers for the day.
