TSU Student Athletes Begin New Journey Following Graduation

NASHVILLE --- On Saturday, December 12, 2015, a number of Tennesee State student-athletes walked across the stage during the university's the fall commencement ceremony. While some obtained bachelor's, for others Saturday marked the completion of a master's degree.

The graduates gathered in the Gentry Center tunnels early to line-up and take their respective places before entering into the arena filled with thousands of supporters.

As the students entered during the processional, they were cheered on and celebrated by a boistrous crowd.

The ceremony which included the presentation of colors and songs by the University Wind Ensemble and the University Choir began with remarks from President Glover and featured a commencement address by Dr. Michael L. Lomax, President and CEO of the United Negro College Fund.

Some of the student-athletes who completed their studies in August, did not participate in Saturday's ceremony.
