This Week in TSU Athletics - September 14

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A full slate of events will be going on This Week in TSU Athletics as football, volleyball, women’s golf, men’s tennis and women’s tennis will all compete.

Beginning today, the TSU women’s golf team will take part in the two-day Drake Creek Invitational hosted by Murray State University.

Tuesday, Sept. 15 will also be a busy day as the golf tournament wraps up and the men’s and women’s tennis squads make their fall debuts in Atlanta, Ga. at the FAMU HBCU Tournament. After three matches on the road, the TSU volleyball team returns to Kean Hall to face Alabama A&M on Tuesday at 6 p.m. The match is a “Code Blue” where fans are encouraged to wear blue.

Following an off day on Wednesday, the volleyball team is back in action with a road test at Southern University on Sept. 17 before taking on Grambling State and New Orleans the following day as part of the New Orleans Invitational.

The week concludes with the football team’s first Ohio Valley Conference game at Jacksonville State on Saturday, Sept. 19 at 1 p.m. The game will be broadcasted on ESPN3.
