TSU Golf Makes History
Nashville, Tenn. - With the 2010-2011 athletic seasons approaching, the Tennessee State University Department of Athletics will take a look back at last year, counting down the Top 10 Moments of the 2009-10 season.
Midway through the countdown at No. 5 - "TSU Golf Makes History" finishing in fourth place at the 2010 Ohio Valley Conference Championship for their best showing since becoming eligible for a championship in the league in 1988.
The Tigers tied for fourth with Eastern Kentucky shooting 25-over par and were led by Ryan Smith and Richard Gill.
The Tigers carded rounds of 298, 304, and 287, for an overall score of 889 with Smith and Gill finishing in the top 20.
The TSU athletic department's staff and coaches, out of a pool of more than 25 entries, voted the Top 10 Moments of 2009-10.
