Nashville, Tenn. - The Tennessee State University Athletic Association (TSUAA) and TSU Athletics' staff gathered for the 6th Annual Kick-Off Breakfast at the Millennium Maxwell House Hotel on Saturday morning to formally jump start the Tigers' athletic seasons.
The breakfast is hosted by TSU athletics in gratitude to Tiger boosters for their ongoing support to the department and TSU student-athletes.
More than 150 people were in attendance including members of the TSU athletic administration, head coaches, staff, and long-time supporters. In addition to the many boosters, representatives from corporate sponsors were recognized.
The event was capped with numerous door prizes with the unveiling of the "Believe in Blue" theme for the upcoming season.
"We would like to thank our alumni, boosters and corporate sponsors for their extended support of Tennessee State University Athletics," said TSU Director of Athletics Teresa Phillips. "We want to show the TSUAA and all supporters of the Big Blue that their contributions to our student-athletes don't go unnoticed."
The TSUAA is an organization existing to provide community assistance and financial support to Tennessee State University Athletics.
Membership in the TSUAA is open to all persons and business entities making the minimum annual contribution as established by the TSU Department of Athletics.
