Nashville, Tenn. – The Tennessee State University Athletic Association (TSUAA) and TSU Athletics' staff gathered for their annual breakfast at the Millennium Maxwell House Hotel on Saturday (8/1) to formally kick-off the Tigers' athletic season.
The breakfast is hosted by TSU athletics in gratitude to Tiger boosters for their ongoing support to the department and TSU student-athletes.
More than 100 people were in attendance including members of the TSU athletic administration, head coaches, staff, and long-time supporters. In addition to the many boosters, representatives from corporate sponsors were recognized.
The event was capped with numerous door prizes, the TSU boosters' guidelines, and the unveiling of the We are One campaign by TSU Director of Athletics Teresa Phillips.
"We would like to thank our boosters and corporate sponsors for their extended support of Tennessee State University athletics," said Phillips. "It is why we are emphasizing the We are One initiative. We want to show the TSUAA and all supporters of the Big Blue that their contributions to our student-athletes go unnoticed."
The TSUAA is an organization existing to provide community assistance and financial support to Tennessee State University.
Membership of the TSUAA is open to all persons and business entities making the minimum annual contribution as established by the TSU Department of Athletics.
