Tigers Prep Against Alabama A&M 

Nashville, Tenn. - Tennessee State men's and women's tennis against Jacksonville State scheduled for Tuesday (3/31) at 12:30 p.m. has been postponed again due to inclement weather in Jacksonville, Ala. JSU and Tennessee State will make up the match on Friday, April 10 at 1:30 p.m. in Nashville, Tenn.

The Tigers will host Alabama A&M on Wednesday (4/2) in non conference action at 2 p.m. Both tennis squads will look to avenge their season opening loss to the Bulldogs back on March 8. The men dropped a thriller, 4-3, while the women were upeneded, 5-2.

TSU Tennis remains winless posting and identical 0-6 overall record, 0-4 in Ohio Valley Conference matches.

The men's skid posts a 3-31 (.088) record in singles play and 1-14 (.067) in doubles action. Justin Hamm, Michael Mosley and Aaron Fields head the Tigers' top three matches with similar individual records of 1-5.

For the women, the Tigers will look to number one seed Megan Haynes and number two player Penelope Johnson to start things off. As a team, TSU is 2-34 in singles play and are winless in doubles competiton at 0-14. Dania Lofton (1-5) carries the only win in singles competition for the Tigers.

Alabama A&M men's team carries an overall 2-13 record going 1-5 on the road. The Bulldogs defeated Alabama State in their last match, 4-3, in Montgomery, Ala. on March 30.

As for the AAMU women, the Bulldogs are 7-8 overall with a 3-3 road record. They are have won two of their last three matches including a 7-0 rout over Alabama State (3/30). 

The Tigers will jump back into OVC action when they host Eastern Illinois on Saturday, April 4, with start time scheduled for 11:30 a.m.
