NASHVILLE---Members of the Tennessee State University softball team and women's basketball team joined in with other students, administrators, alumni, and faculty for TSU Community Service Day on Saturday, August 25. More than 600 first year students registered to participate in a variety of community service activities in locations surrounding the main campus. The participants gathered in the Gentry Center at 8 a.m. to prepare for their assignments. There were a number of volunteer locations, including painting at several Habitat for Humanity sites, coordinating a book sale at Hadley Park Library, and working with Feed the Children. The softball team helped clean up Jefferson Street and women's basketball worked with Habitat for Humanity.
