Jordan and Pillow Awarded Athletic Administrator Awards

The All-American Football Foundation (AAFF) selected two of Tennessee State University Department of Athletics staff member’s Valencia Jordan and Carl Pillow for 2008 honoree awards. Their names were submitted by athletics director Teresa Phillips.

AAFF President Jimmie McDowell presented the Outstanding SWA Award to Mrs. Valencia Jordan and Outstanding Associate Athletic Director Award to Carl Pillow at the All-American Football Foundation 93rd Banquet of Champions, May 15th , Hollywood Resort Hotel, Tunica, MS.

The AAFF was founded in 1994 and supported by 165 colleges and universities nationwide, the All-American Football foundation is a private 501c 3 organization established to honor individuals for distinguished contributions to the game of football in all phases of the game. Honorees include College Presidents, Faculty Athletic Representatives, Commissioners and Outstanding Americans.

The proceeds help to support the Foundation's activity, including its scholarship fund.

Banquets of Champions are held in selected cities where honorees are hosted and presented with plaques attesting to their contributions.
