Terrance Wright Receives All Star Cast Member Award

Nashville--- TSU football player Terrance Wright was honored as a Cast Member All Star at the 72nd Annual National Association of Dramatic and Speech Arts conference.

 

Wright, a sophomore from Houston, Texas, received the award for his performance in the Allen Williams One- Act Play Festival. Contestants in this event had to present a complete dramatic work without a script in hand. The participants were judged on their choice of play, direction, acting, production elements, and execution.

The conference, hosted by the Black Academy of Arts and Letters, was held in Dallas, Texas.

 

The National Association of Dramatic and Speech Arts, Inc. (NADSA) was founded in 1936. It is a professional affiliation of performers, administrators, educators, students, technicians, and craftsmen of theatre, communicative arts, and allied areas of interests.

 

NADSA's general purpose is to provide a professional organization for students, educators, and practitioners of theatre and the communicative arts.

 

Wright, a speech communication and theatre major, also participated in a dramatic monologue at the event.
