STUDENT-ATHLETES GIVE LOVE AND APPRECIATION FOR VALENTINE'S DAY
Wednesday, February 14, 2007
NASHVILLE---The Tennessee State University Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and the Athletics Department participated in a special community service project on Valentine's Day. To show their appreciation, the student-athletes presented sweetheart gifts to those service areas on campus which have been especially endearing to them. These areas included the Main Cafeteria staff, the Post Office staff, the Rudolph Cafeteria staff, and the Gentry Complex custodial staff, specifically, Daytime Supervisor, Ms. Gwen. The gifts were personally delivered to these deserving individuals by the members of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. "We seldom take out time to show our appreciation to those individuals who give of themselves to make our lives more comfortable," commented SWA and SAAC advisor Valencia Jordan. "This will hopefully be a new beginning in simply saying "thank you" for a job well done!"
