NASHVILLE --- The Tennessee State University athletics department and its student-athletes will help make the holiday season brighter for two community families as part of the Ohio Valley Conference Santa Project. TSU student-athletes delivered gifts to two families in the community on Tuesday. As a part of the OVC-Santa Project, the TSU Student-Athlete Advisory Committee voted to adopt families from the St. Lukes Community House. Each team and the administrative staff were responsible for a child or parents gift wish list. "This project has been overwhelming received by our student-athletes, coaches and staff," said Valencia Jordan, TSU Senior Woman Coordinator and coordinator for the Student-Athlete Community. "In a year and time where destruction and devastation have permeated the world over; we are grateful to be a part of a group who will bring joy and peace to our TSU Community." The gifts were delivered by a host of student-athletes, coaches and administrators on Tuesday afternoon. "The Athletics Department is privileged to have the opportunity to be a blessing to others," said Jordan.
