TSU'S MONROE ABRAM RECEIVES TENNESSEE COLLEGE ATHLETIC TRAINER OF THE YEAR AWARD

NASHVILLE --- Tennessee State University head athletics trainer Monroe Abram has been honored as Tennessee College Athletic Trainer of the Year. Abram was presented the award on Sunday at the annual meeting of the Tennessee Athletics Trainers Society meeting held this year at Lipscomb University. The honor is presented annually to the person from a Tennessee college or university who has made outstanding contributions to the training profession. The award is the first ever presented to a trainer from Tennessee State. The winner is chosen from a selection committee from the Tennessee Athletic Trainers Society. Abram is in is his fifth year at Tennessee State. He has previously served as head trainer Morehouse College in Atlanta and Savannah State. A native of Macon, Ga., he is a graduate of the University of Georgia and received his master's degree from Springfield (Mass.) College. ###
