BIRMINGHAM --- The Tennessee State men’s track and field team put together another good showing at the Vulcan Invitational on Saturday at the Birmingham CrossPlex.
Ohio Valley Conference Field Athlete of the Week R’Lazon Brumfield posted TSU’s best finish on the day, taking fourth in the triple jump with a mark of 14.77m (48’5.5”).
On the track, OVC Track Athlete of the Week James Faison earned sixth in the 200m (21.66) and 10th in the 400m (48.56). Freshman Thomas Mosley clocked in at 1:56.66 in the 800m to pick up sixth place.
Senior Jemarruse Amos got faster as the day went on in the 60m hurdles. In the prelims, Amos ran a time of 8.26 before finishing in 8.23 in the finals to secure sixth place.
Next up for the Flying Tigers is a trip to Huntington, W.Va. to compete in the Thundering Herd Invitational on Jan. 26-27.
