JACKSONVILLE, Fla. --- Quamel Prince (Nashville, Tenn.) turned in another strong performance in the 800m on Friday as the Tennessee State men’s track and field team’s lone competitor on day two of the NCAA East Preliminary Round at Hodges Stadium.
A day after posting a personal record time of 1:48.23 in the first round, Prince turned in a time of 1:49.95 in Friday's quarterfinals.
The junior ended up finishing seventh in his heat with the 18th best time of the evening.
The Flying Tigers will conclude the NCAA East Preliminary Round tomorrow with Kareem Nicholas (Atlanta, Ga.) competing in the triple jump.
