STARTING LINE: With less than a month to go until the Ohio Valley Conference Outdoor Championship, the Tennessee State men’s track and field team makes the short trip to Clarksville, Tenn. for the APSU Invitational on April 15-16.
THE SCHEDULE: The meet will start on Friday with the pole vault beginning at 5 p.m. On Saturday, the meet will pick up with the discus, which is slated for a 10 a.m. start.
LAST TIME OUT: The last team event for TSU was the Pepsi Florida Relays on March 31-April 2. Quamel Prince (Nashville, Tenn.) posted his best 800m time of the season in 1:48.66. The Flying Tigers put together a number of strong relay performances, including a time of 1:26.09 in the 4x200m relay with a team of Jerome Henderson III (Clarksville, Tenn.), James Stewart (Nashville, Tenn.), Prince and Malik Wright (Tampa, Fla.).
UP NEXT: The Flying Tigers will travel to Atlanta, Ga. for the Georgia Tech Invite on April 22-23.
