BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – For the second week in a row, Tennessee State track and field athlete Quamel Prince (Nashville, Tenn.) was recognized for his performances by earning Adidas Ohio Valley Conference Co-Track Athlete of the Week, it was announced on Wednesday.
Over the weekend at the Commodore Indoor Invitational, Prince turned in a time of 48.13 in the 400m, which is the best in the OVC this season. The time also ranks him 38th in the nation. Prince finished third in the event, finishing just behind runners from Mississippi State and Michigan. It is his fastest time for the event indoors in his collegiate career.
It is the second time Prince has earned OVC Track Athlete of the Week this season.
The Flying Tigers are back in action for the Gladstein Invitational on Jan. 22-23 in Bloomington, Ind.
