NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee State University Director of Track and Field Chandra Cheeseborough-Guise announced Neosho Community College thrower Kyle Washington-Scott (St. Louis, Mo.) has signed a financial aid agreement during the early signing period and will transfer to TSU in the spring.
“I am very excited about Kyle joining us,” Cheeseborough-Guise said. “A lot of other OVC schools were recruiting him, and he will be a great addition to our men’s program. We hope to get great, quality points out of the throws, so we expect Kyle to come in and make a difference right away.”
Washington-Scott competed for two seasons at Neosho Community College in Kansas and will have two years of eligibility for the Flying Tigers.
One of the top throwers in the junior college ranks, Washington-Scott has placed in the top 16 at the National Junior College Championships eight times in two years. His personal records include marks of 16.15m in the weight throw, 17.24m in the shot put, 46.45m in the discus and 51.30m in the hammer.
