NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee State University track and field teams will hold their annual Blue & White Meet to unofficially begin the 2015-16 indoor season on Thursday, Nov. 19 on campus at the Gentry Center. The meet is scheduled to get underway at 4:30 p.m., and admission to the event is free.
The teams will compete in an intersquad meet consisting of the long and triple jump in addition to a number of running events on the track.
The Tigerbelles are coming off their fourth Ohio Valley Conference Outdoor Championship and return two All-Americans in Clairwin Dameus (Boynton Beach, Fla.) and Amber Hughes (Atlanta, Ga.). On the men's side, the Flying Tigers bring back a number of key components from last year's squad including junior Quamel Prince (Nashville, Tenn.), who qualified for the NCAA East Region Preliminary Round for the 800m last spring.
The Flying Tigers and Tigerbelles officially open the indoor season at the Music City Challenge at Vanderbilt on Dec. 5.
