NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee State junior Clairwin Dameus was named OVC Co-Female Field Athlete of the Week by the league office, Wednesday.
Dameus placed third out of 17 competitors in the 400 meters at this past weekend’s Kentucky Relays. Her time of 59.97 ranks first in the OVC this year.
The Boynton Beach, Fla. native was also part of the Tigerbelle 4x100 meter relay team that took second with a time of 46.63.
This is the first Outdoor Athlete of the Week award for Dameus this season, but she is the fifth TSU track and field member to take home the honor.
The Tigerbelles and Flying Tigers will next take the track on May 15-16 for the OVC Outdoor Track and Field Championship.
