Tuscaloosa, Ala. - After a seven year absence from the meet, the Flying Tigers picked up an impressive victory in the 400m to highlight Tennessee State's overall performance at the Alabama Relays this past weekend.

In a field that featured 34 competitors, Michael Rideout recorded a personal best winning the 400m with a time of 47.95. He captured the win in the second heat of the 400m retaining the fastest time in the OVC from last week.

In the field events, Xavier Walton dished out his top performance of the season finishing third in the long jump with a mark of 22"10 (6.96m). His leap moves him to the top of the OVC Best List.

In other events, Arthur Combest clocked his personal record in the 110m and 400m hurdle events. He grabbed fifth in the 110m hurdles with a time of 14.90 seconds and lowered his time in the 400m hurdles to 55.91 to eighth place.

In the 4x400m relay, TSU finished fifth with their fastest mark of the season 3:19.17.
