Nashville, Tenn. - The Tennessee State University men's track and field team released its 2010-2011 indoor and outdoor schedules. The Flying Tigers will jump start the indoor season when they head to Murfreesboro to compete at the Middle Tennessee State Christmas Invitational (12/11).
The Tigers return home after a few weeks off to host the Ed Temple Classic (01/08) before traveling to Carbondale, Ill. to compete in the Southern Illinois Saluki Invite (01/15).
The following week, the Tigers head back to Murfreesboro to compete in the Blue Raider Invitational (01/22).
Saturday, (01/29) the Tigers will host their second and final meet of the 2010-11 season at the TSU Invite.
The Flying Tigers will wrap up the 2010-11 regular season when they compete in Murfreesboro one final time at the Middle Tennessee State Valentine Invitational (02/05).
The Tigers will look to finish well at the Ohio Valley Conference Indoor Championship hosted by Eastern Illinois. The championship will be held in Charleston, Ill. from February 25-26
The outdoor season will begin at the Morehouse College Relays in Atlanta, Ga. (3/19).
For the next two races the Tigers will stay in the state of Alabama. First, they will compete in the Alabama Relays in Tuscaloosa, from March 25-27. The following week, they will compete in the Tiger Track Classic, hosted by Auburn University, April 1-2.
Saturday, (04/09) the men will host their only meet of the season in the 9th annual Boston-Moon Classic, held at the Ed Temple Track and Field Complex. A week later, the men will travel across town to compete in the Vanderbilt Invitational, April 15-16.
The Tigers will hit the road for their last two events of the 2011 outdoor season before heading to the conference championship. The men will head to Philadelphia, Pa to compete in the Penn Relays from April 28-30. They will conclude the 2011 outdoor season in Bowling Green, Ky. to race in the Western Kentucky Invitational on Saturday, April 30.
The Ohio Valley Conference Outdoor Championship will be hosted by Murray State. The championship will be held in Murray, Ky. from May 6-7.
