Cookeville, Tenn. - The Tennessee State University Flying Tigers posted three more medals to finish their tally at six closing the outdoor season at the OVC Outdoor Track and Field Championship on Saturday.

Due to the inclement weather, the meet experienced delays while athletes competed in the rain. Nineteen events were scored with the men's section of the javelin throw canceled.

TSU finished in the final team standings in fourth place with 61 points including five second-place medals.

Eastern Illinois (261 pts) for a consecutive season won the team title followed by Southeast Missouri State (128 pts), Eastern Kentucky (106 pts) with Morehead State (22 points) rounding out the final spot.

After entering the finals with the fastest time from the prelims, Dwayne Johnson finished second overall in the 100m with a time of 10.86 seconds.  The time is Johnson's fastest of the year after nursing injuries throughout the season.
