Flying Tigers to Compete at Conference Opponent APSU's invitational

Austin Peay Invitational Meet Schedule 

Nashville, Tenn. – Tennessee State University men's track and field team will travel to Clarksville, Tenn. to compete in the Austin Peay Invitational, hosted by conference opponent Austin Peay State, Saturday (4/4), at Governors Stadium, beginning at 8 a.m. with the track events. The field events will begin at noon..

Competing, in addition to TSU, will be APSU, Evansville, Lipscomb, Samford, Tennessee Tech, and Western Kentucky, among others.

The Flying Tigers are led by Darreal Beal who is predicted to finish in good standings after winning the long jump with a 23'00.54 in the outdoor season opener at the 37th Annual Morehouse Relays on March 24. Beal's jump sits him in the number one slot on the OVC Best List. For his peformance, he was named OVC-Co Male Field Athlete of the Week.

Next, the Flying Tigers will host the Boston Moon Classic at the Ed Temple Outdoor Track on April 10-11 beginning with the high school heats on Friday.
