Flying Tigers Get Set for Home Indoor Track Meet

Nashville, Tenn. - Tennessee State University men's track and field team are getting ready for their second home track meet of the indoor season. The Flying Tigers will compete in the TSU Invite Indoor Track Meet, Saturday, January 31st at the Gentry Center Athletic Complex.

The meet is set to begin at 8 a.m. on the Wilma Rudolph Indoor Track with the throwing and jumping events. The running events will begin at 10:30 a.m. and will continue on a rolling time schedule.
The Flying Tigers competed in the Blue Raider Invitational last week and will look to Nathaniel Moore and Trenton Britt to continue their top performances. Moore and Britt have won two of three competitions in their respective events.
Moore won the 400-meter the dash his last two starts running his fastest time of the season and OVC best last week, 49.03 seconds. holds the best marks in the Ohio Valley Conference in the 55-meter dash and long jump. Britt won the triple jump his last two competitions which included a school record of 48'06.00". Moore and Britt sit a top the OVC Best List in their events.

The following schools are scheduled to compete: Alabama-Huntsville, Alabama A&M, Alabama State, Austin Peay, Bethel College, Clayton State, Florida A&M, Jacksonville State, Lipscomb, Morehouse, Samford, and Savannah State.
