Williams' Long Jump, Best of the Year

The Flying Tiger's lone entrant to the NCAA Regional, Buford Williams, failed to advance from the preliminary round of the Long Jump at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, AR.

Despite a season-best 7.48m performance, Williams finished in thirteenth place in an event that was captured with a 7.94m effort.

Williams won the Ohio Valley Conference High Jump title and finished second in the Long Jump competition with a leap of 7.45m.

Buford, a senior, competed in the sprints and the jumps (High Jump, Long Jump and Triple Jump) for the Flying Tigers of Tennessee State University.
