TENNESSEE STATE TO HOST TRACK AND FIELD HALL OF FAME SYMPOSIUM
The Tennessee State University athletic department will host a Track and Field Hall of Fame Symposium entitled "Intimate Conversations with Greatness". All local, regional and national track and field coaches, fans and media are invited. The symposium is set for Wednesday, September 12, 2007 from 9:00a.m. - 5:30 p.m. at the Floyd - Payne Campus Center Forum on the TSU main campus. An all-star track and field panel has been gathered to participate. Historic panelists include; Dr. LeRoy Walker, Ed Temple, Barbara Jacket, Freddie Thompson, Jim Bibs and George Williams. Athletic panelists will include, Ralph Boston, Edwin Moses, Chandra Cheeseborough and Lee Evans. The coaches panel will include; Beverly Kearney, Jeanette Bolden, Mike Holloway, J.J. Clark, Curtis Frye and Caryl Smith. Special guest panelist will be Charlotte Westerhaus, Vice President of the NCAA.
