Tigers Take 2nd Place at Tennessee Tech The Tennessee State men's cross-country teams took 2nd place at the Tennessee Tech Cross-Country Invitational Meet at Southern Hills Golf Course in Cookeville, TN saturday junior Spencer Whittier had nearly a half-minute edge on his way to winning the men's race, Whittier led a near-perfect showing by the Golden Eagles who posted 17 points to beat out 2nd place finisher Tennessee State (53). TSU's runners included: Anes KoKo (29:19.4) finished in 6th place, Robert Butler (30:32.8) 10th, Gary Mays (32:08.10) 12th, Bryan Johnson (35:00.15)17th,and Franz Holmes (36:03.17)19th, Other teams Alabama A&M and Fisk University also competed in the meet. The next meet will be the Ohio Valley Conference Championship on October 29th in Charleston, IL.
