NASHVILLE---The Tennessee State University women's cross country team will return to action this weekend when it participates in the Atlanta Cross Country Classic Saturday Sept. 30. One of the highlights of this cross country classic will be the meeting between Tennessee State and Florida A&M, whose respective football teams will meet on the field later in the afternoon for the Atlanta Football Classic. The meet will be hosted by Clark Atlanta University and Morehouse College. This is a joint venture between two Atlanta University Center schools that is expected to become an annual event. The course is the one that has been used for the SIAC Conference championships for the past three years. It is a challenging course that is located in one of Atlanta's city parks with a variety of terrains, hills, pavement and grass. Schools anticipated to participate in the Atlanta Cross Country Classic include Tennessee State, Florida A&M, Clark Atlanta University, Morehouse College, Stillman College, Benedict College, and Claffin College.
