TUSCALOOSA, Ala. --- The TSU men's track team competed in the Alabama Relays over the weekend in an event that featured teams from various sections of the country. The trip will be the first of two consecutive appearances in the state of Alabama. TSU is scheduled to compete in the Auburn Realys this weekend. A highlight for the team in the field events were long jumpers Saihou Mbenga and Buford Williams. The teammates finished in an 11th place with a jump of 22 feet, 5 inches. Sprinter Christopher Howell finished in 10th among 39 sprinters with a time of 11.06 in the 100 meter dash, Chris Howell also took 12 place in the 200 meter dash with a time of 22.01 while teammates Saihou Mbenga finished 23rd (22.42) and Patrick Robinson took 28th place with a time of 22.61 among 52 runners. Ronald Morris finished 9th among 52 runners in the 400-meter dash with a time of 49.03 while teammate Rickey Sayles finished 30th with a 51.42 effort. Jared Kelly was 10th in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 15.33 while Ivra Warren finished 21 with a time of 16.28. Byron Ragsdale finished 19th in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 58.30 while his teammate finished 23rd with a time of 59.93. Rilan Betts finished 38th in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:01.94 while teammates Evan Wimberly finished 42nd (2:02.77) and Kyle Waters took 51st place with a time of 2:09.73. Mark Lollis finished 43rd in the 1500 meter run with a time of 4:29.72.
