NASHVILLE --- The Tennessee State University men's cross country team will open its 2005 season at the Belmont Bruin's Fifth Annual Cross Country Classic Friday (Sept. 2) at the Vaughn's Gap Course in Nashville's Percy Warner Park. Coach Kelly Carter's TSU Tigers will compete in a 12-team field that will include runners from host Belmont, Alabama A&M, Vanderbilt, Tennessee, Western KY, Tennessee-Martin, Austin Peay, Mississippi State, Christian Brothers, Lipscomb, and Middle Tennessee. The meet begins at 6 p.m. Carter will field a squad that includes Evan Wimberly, Mark Lollis, Joshua Fann, Charles Parker, Patrick Robinson, Quincy Wilkins, Saihou Mbenga, Orlando Marner, Franklin Rivers and Buford Williams. The TSU women's team will begin its season next week with a meet in Chattanooga.
