TSU Tennis Welcomes Quinton Argent as Tennis Assistant Coach

NASHVILLE --- Tennessee State tennis adds a new member to the coaching staff to begin the 2020 spring season. Quinton Argent comes to Tennessee State University after coaching tennis to a variety of athletes for four years at Vetta West in St. Louis, Missouri. He graduated from Missouri Baptist in 2016 with a degree in Sport Management. While at Missouri Baptist, Argent competed in nationals three times. Before Missouri Baptist he was a student at Lewis and Clark college.

"I'm excited to announce my new Assistant Coach - Quinton Argent," said Head Coach Lola Orebugda "He's one who knows and loves the game and has also been instrumental in the development & training of High Performance Collegiate Athletes and Professional Tennis Players. Quinton aligns with my vision to bring the Tennessee State University Men's and Women's Tennis Teams back to a respected NCAA D1 level. We'll achieve this through elite recruiting, discipline, and player development... Welcome aboard Q!"

As an Australian native, Argent relocated to the United States in the winter of 2013 to pursue his college degree. Before coming over to the States, Argent had a decorated amateur tennis background in Australia.

In his free time, he enjoys exploring new places and playing sports with his fiancé, Tomi Kaye. They enjoy sports such as: volleyball, kickball and anything else that involves being outdoors.
