Misdrachis Named Second Team All-OVC

NASHVILLE --- Tennessee State men's tennis freshman Leandros Misdrachis earned a place on the All-OVC Second Team, as announced by the conference office today.

The Larissa, Greece native finished the season with a 5-9 singles record, 4-5 while playing at No. 1, and a 4-9 doubles record, claiming three victories at No. 1 doubles with partner Stefan Koruga.

Misdrachis was named OVC Male Athlete of the week when the athlete won both singles and doubles matches in the sweep of Arkansas Pine Bluff. Misdrachis was the first Tennessee State male to win the award since former Tiger Shashank Nautiyal won it in 2016 when he beat Arkansas Pine Bluff.

The last time a Tiger was named to an All-OVC team was 2016 with Daniel Bernal.

The Tigers take on Jacksonville State Friday, April 27 at Hadley Park in the first round of the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament, with first serve set for 2 p.m.
