OPENING SERVE: After having a week off The Tigers will host two matches on Saturday Apr. 1 at Hadley Park. In the first match TSU will take on EIU at 10 am. Following the match with Eastern Illinois the Tigers will have a short rest time before playing against Arkansas Pine Bluff at 3 pm.

LAST TIME OUT: 

The Tigers fell to Austin Peay 6-1. The Governors captured the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles. The team of Shashank Nautiyal and Jorge Rodriguez played at the No.3 spot and were tied 5-5 in a match that went unfinished.

Burton was the lone Tiger to win in singles, earning a straight set victory at No. 5. The straight set win was the first OVC singles victory of the season for TSU.

At No. 1 singles, Matthew Brown dropped a three set heartbreaker. After winning the first set 6-2, Brown dropped the following two sets by the same 6-4 score.

ABOUT EASTERN ILLINOIS: 

Eastern Illinois has a 3-16 record to this point in the spring season. In their last match the Panthers defeated Marian 7-2. EIU is led by Marko JanJusic who has eight singles wins to date.

ABOUT ARKANSAS PINE-BLUFF: 

The Golden Lions are 3-18 this season with their last win coming against Ozark Christian. Pine Bluff is coached by James Cowan who is in his fourth season as the head of the program.

UP NEXT: The Tigers will travel to Huntsvill, Ala. to take on Alabama A & M on Apr. 6 at 11 am.
